The Alien NEXT Measurement

Alien cross-talk measurement for researching the interference of your high bandwidth 10 Giga based application between individual cables. Surtec's Alien cross-talk test environment, base on the TIA/EIA 568-B.2-10 standard(draft 2.0), effectively detects and controls the transmission reciprocal effect.

Augmented category 6 channel ANEXT

For each cable segment, there shall be 6 disturbing cables surrounding the victim cable. The configuration of mounted connectors that results in worst case ANEXT loss and AFEXT loss shall be used.

Construct the victim and disturbing channel as close as possible which means that they are touching all along their length both the horizontal cable and the patch cable. Tied the seven cables together with cable ties 12 inches apart.

Terminations by both common mode and differential mode for the laboratory test, leaving the testing victim cable in front of the test machine and ready for test. Separates end cables up to 1.0m (3.28ft.) and not to tie up, connects with the measurement system
Measure the pair-to-pair ANEXT loss and AFEXT loss from 1MHz to 500 MHz by the Network Analyzer. The test result demonstrates the worst case performance and thus assure that permanent links or channels passing requirements will also support 10 Gigabit Ethernet in any normal installation. The power sum loss channel limit also shall be calculated. The PSANEXT and PSAFEXT loss value shall plus 20dB to a maximum of 90dB
