At SURTEC, driving sustainable practices and pioneering innovations are at the core of our mission. In early 2023, we proudly partnered with the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology to support students in groundbreaking polycycle research. Our Engineering Team created a fascinating yet challenging capstone research question that allows Georgia Tech students to discover solutions for optimizing sustainable manufacturing.
Through rigorous experimentation and analysis, the students’ research revealed critical insights into the chemical and physical properties of the proprietary polymer sourced from ocean plastics. Their work has provided invaluable insights and practical standard operating procedures for the future of sustainable manufacturing. We extend our deepest gratitude to the exceptional team of students and supportive faculty members at Georgia Tech who have made this project a resounding success.
In continuation to encourage students' enthusiasm for sustainable manufacturing research, SURTEC also granted 7,000 USD in funding to the SMSE department. We’re providing students with the resources, support, and inspiration they need to make a meaningful impact on our sustainable future. We believe in the power of investing in today’s young talents, knowing they will become the leaders of tomorrow. SURTEC remains dedicated to fostering collaborations with industry leaders and academic institutions that drive innovative and sustainable solutions.
